Most people think about kitchens, schools, and lot sizes when they think about home value in Chandler. Fair. But one of the biggest things holding up Chandler home prices is something you can’t see from the street.
Paychecks.
175,000 reasons Chandler stays in demand
I recently joined the Chandler Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber says it speaks for more than 175,000 employees. That number is the part homeowners should care about.
When a city has that many jobs inside its borders, people want to live close to work. That keeps buyers coming. And buyers are what hold up prices.
Who’s hiring in Chandler
Chandler isn’t a bedroom town where everyone drives to Phoenix. Some big names in tech and finance are right here:
Intel’s Ocotillo campus in South Chandler
Microchip, headquartered in Chandler
Northrop Grumman
Wells Fargo and PayPal
Plus hundreds of smaller companies, from engineering firms to the restaurants down the street.
What this means for your home
Jobs don’t guarantee prices only go up. Nothing does. But a deep job base helps in a few ways:
More buyers when you sell. People moving here for work need homes, and many want a short commute.
Steadier demand when the market cools. Relocations keep happening in slow years too.
Extra attention for neighborhoods near big employers, like Ocotillo and Fulton Ranch near the Intel campus.
Why I focus here
I’ve been a REALTOR since 2011, with 500+ homes sold across Chandler and Tempe. I focus on South Chandler and South Tempe because the basics are strong, and jobs close by is a big one. You can find me in the Chandler Chamber of Commerce business directory.
